Chachapoyas Discovery Tours
The Chachapoyas Discovery Tours take you to the archaeological highlights of the area. The tours are of differing lengths to help match the time limit you have available. Every night is in hotel accommodation and every day includes visits to the the attractions, normally involving a short hike. These tours can be adapted to suit your interests and can easily be included as part of a grander Northern Peru tour. All tours are private and visit Kuelap, Revash and the museum of Leymebamba.
Day 1 Chiclayo or Jaen to Chachapoyas
Travel day to Chachapoyas. Night in La Xalca Hotel.
Day 2 Revash and Leymebamba Museum
Hike to the tombs of Revash and visit the Mummy Museum of Leymebamba. Night in La Casa de Doña Lola.
Day 3 Kuelap
Tour of Kuelap. Return to Chachapoyas. Night in La Xalca Hotel.
Day 4 Chachapoyas to Chiclayo/Tarapoto
Leaving early from Chachapoyas we drive to Chiclayo or Tarapoto.
Day 1 Chiclayo or Jaen to Chachapoyas
Travel day to Chachapoyas. Night in La Xalca Hotel.
Day 2 Huancas and Karajia Sarcophagi. Visit the village of Huancas and the Sonche Canyon. Night in La Casa de Doña Lola.
Day 3 Revash and Leymebamba Museum
Hike to the tombs of Revash and visit the Mummy Museum of Leymebamba. Night in La Casa de Doña Lola.
Day 4 Kuelap
Tour of Kuelap. Return to Chachapoyas. Night in La Xalca Hotel.
Day 5 Chachapoyas to Chiclayo/Tarapoto
Leaving early from Chachapoyas we drive to Chiclayo or Tarapoto.
Day 1 Chiclayo or Jaen to Chachapoyas
Travel day to Chachapoyas. Night in La Xalca Hotel.
Day 2 Levanto and Huancas
See the roundhouse at Levanto, visit the ruins of Yalape. Option to hike down the Inca trail to Chachapoyas. Visit Huancas in the afternoon. Night in La Xalca.
Day 3 Karajia Sarcophagi. Visit the Karajia Sarcphagi and stay the night in La Casa de Doña Lola.
Day 4 Revash and Leymebamba Museum
Hike to the tombs of Revash and visit the Mummy Museum of Leymebamba. Night in La Casa de Doña Lola.
Day 5 Kuelap
Tour of Kuelap. Return to Chachapoyas. Night in La Xalca Hotel.
Day 6 Chachapoyas to Chiclayo/Tarapoto
Leaving early from Chachapoyas we drive to Chiclayo or Tarapoto.
